Our pharmacists are fully trained to provide vaccinations for you and your family.
Our vaccination programs are under way for 2023. We have resumed our pharmacy vaccination program for influenza as well as our COVID-19 vaccinations with the Moderna brand,
ATAGI recommends a 2023 COVID-19 vaccine booster dose for adults (18 years and over) in the following groups, if their last COVID-19 vaccine dose or confirmed infection (whichever is the most recent) was 6 months ago or longer, and regardless of the number of prior doses received.
We will be administering the Spikevax (MODERNA) vaccine for BOOSTER doses ONLY. This vaccine is only available as a BOOSTER, only for those 18 years or older. We are currently undertaking walk-in bookings, between 9:30am to 11:30am, and 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
Our stock for influenza has also arrived into the pharmacy. We are currently undertaking walk-in bookings, between 9:30am to 11:30am, and 2:30pm to 4:30pm, for individuals 12 and over. The QLD Government has this year allowed for pharmacies to receive and provided influenza vaccines as part of the National Immunistation Program. This allows us to vaccinate at-risk individuals, including individuals over 65 years of ago, for a lowered cost.
Travelling overseas? At Buderim Pharmacy, we are now able to perform Supervised Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) before travel. As part of the service, a pharmacist will watch you perform the test, then certify the result. This result is then provided to you on an official certificate.
Patients will need to bring their passport to the appointment. The pharmacy will provide a RAT as part of the service, as we cannot guarantee the storage conditions of tests brought from home.
If you would like to make a booking, or have any questions, please call and speak to one of our friendly staff.
This service is not a 'Point-of-Care' test, which is a RAT that is physically conducted by health professionals.
It is the responsibility of the patient who intends to use the certificate for travel to confirm that a Supervised RAT will be acceptable. We recommend that patients FIRST check the requirements of the airline and the country they are travelling to, to CONFIRM that a Supervised RAT is acceptable.
If you are feeling unwell, are in self isolation, or are feeling vulnerable and keen to stay home, we can deliver your prescription medication and health products - call us on +61 7 5445 1230. If you have elderly neighbours who may not see this, please let them know. More COVID-19 info here
